The Sanctuary Church of Mountain View is an Apostolic Pentecostal church in principle, practice, and power. Our beliefs are Biblically-based as we establish our lifestyles explicitly from God’s Holy Word in its purest scriptural context.
about us
OUR BELIEFS
-
We believe in the infallibility and inerrancy of the Word of God. We hold the Bible to be divinely inspired. It is the sole and supreme authority on all matters pertaining to salvation and Godly living.
Psalms 119:105; 2 Timothy 3:15-17: 2 Peter 1:19-21
-
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16)
-
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith, based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9)
-
The saving gospel is good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried and rose again. We obey the gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:8; 1 Peter4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4)
-
Jesus Christ is on His way to bring His church to our eternal heavenly home upon His second coming. In the end there will be the final resurrection and judgement. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11-15)
The Sanctuary Church of Mountain View (originally named “The First United Pentecostal Church”) was founded by Rev. Ralph Anderson in the small rural town of Fifty-Six, Arkansas in 1975. Around 1988, then pastor, Rev. Benny Hays, had the vision to move the church to Mountain View. Then in 2012 Pastor Paul and Sis Ronda Mize were elected. Shortly thereafter, the church name was renamed to “The Sanctuary Church of Mountain View.” Since the Mize’s installation, the church has experience significant growth and is looking forward to greater things in the future.
